GHK-Cu (Copper Tripeptide-1)

GHK-Cu, commonly known as Copper Tripeptide-1, is a copper-binding complex formed by the tripeptide Gly-His-Lys (GHK) and copper ions. It is widely investigated in skin, extracellular matrix, and regenerative biology research.

GHK has a strong affinity for copper ions, which participate in numerous enzymatic and cellular processes. GHK-Cu is therefore studied in connection with copper transport, cellular signaling, and copper-dependent biological mechanisms.

In skin and extracellular matrix research, GHK-Cu has been investigated in relation to collagen, elastin, glycosaminoglycans, extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling, fibroblast activity, and skin tissue homeostasis.

GHK-Cu has also attracted interest in tissue repair and regenerative biology research, including experimental studies involving cellular migration, tissue remodeling, inflammation-related signaling, and oxidative stress.

In hair biology research, GHK-Cu may also serve as an experimental tool for investigating hair follicle cells, the follicular microenvironment, and cellular mechanisms associated with the hair growth cycle.

Results obtained from different formulations, concentrations, and experimental models should not be interpreted as established clinical effects in humans. In particular, research-grade GHK-Cu should not be represented as proven to reverse aging, eliminate wrinkles, repair injuries, or treat hair loss.
