GHK-Cu (Copper Tripeptide-1)

GHK-Cu, commonly known as Copper Tripeptide-1, is a copper-binding complex formed by the tripeptide Gly-His-Lys (GHK) and copper ions. It is widely investigated in skin, extracellular matrix, and regenerative biology research.

GHK has a strong affinity for copper ions, which participate in numerous enzymatic and cellular processes. GHK-Cu is therefore studied in connection with copper transport, cellular signaling, and copper-dependent biological mechanisms.

In skin and extracellular matrix research, GHK-Cu has been investigated in relation to collagen, elastin, glycosaminoglycans, extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling, fibroblast activity, and skin tissue homeostasis.

GHK-Cu has also attracted interest in tissue repair and regenerative biology research, including experimental studies involving cellular migration, tissue remodeling, inflammation-related signaling, and oxidative stress.

In hair biology research, GHK-Cu may also serve as an experimental tool for investigating hair follicle cells, the follicular microenvironment, and cellular mechanisms associated with the hair growth cycle.
